WSA players on the rise

02.11.2011

The players of the (inter-)national WSA training group have achieved some outstanding leaps upward in the latest ITTF world rankings.

The Schwechat-resident Daniela Dodean (SVS STRÖCK), with her strong performance at the European Championships in Gdansk, Poland and at the Pro Tour stop in Sweden, jumped from number 50 to 38!

Also, her good friend Joao Monteiro (Portugal) has benefited from his year of living in Schwechat with results in the European Championships that moved him up ten places to World number 55.

Austria's young team players are also continuing on an upward thread:

Simon Pfeffer has attained his highest ranking in the just-released November list, reaching 630 (October – 655); Stefan Leitgeb made an even bigger move, from 741 to 687, with Nicole Galitschitsch (SVS STRÖCK) dropping three slots to 437.  As a comparison, Nicole Galitschitsch, at the end of 2010, was ranked 803.
