Summer 2009 - Sent by ITTF, a small 11-year-old girl from Thailand appeared at the WSA - on-Tour Course in Faak am See: Tamolwan Khetkuen.

There are no doubts after just a few training sessions: this is an exceptional talent at the table. The WSA reacted quickly. In agreement with the ITTF, the Thai association and Butterfly the little lady from Thailand was taken under the wings of the Werner Schlager Academy in Austria.

For now more than three years Tamolwan Khetkuen lives and trains in Schwechat at the Werner Schlager Academy. She’s playing for the WSA partner Club SVS STRÖCK, is managed by Schwechat and on her way to the top.

The 16 years old WSA "baby" Khetkuen has now been working in the world rankings from position 572 to 284 in the general and is already ranked at number 30 in the under-18 ranking.

And just now she received the confirmation of the ITTF for the qualification for the Youth Olympic Games (17th to 28th August 2014) in Nanjing, China. An outstanding success for Tamolwan Khetkuen and the coaching staff of the Werner Schlager Academy, headed by the WSA women head coaches Aya Umemura and Tamara Boroš, who care in a motherly way about the girl from Far East.

More successes seem guaranteed. On duty of SVS STRÖCK, or in Nanjing ....
