Triumph of WSA youth

The players of the national WSA training group put their stamp on proceedings in the Austrian Youth Championships in Herzogenburg, as expected.

 

 

 

 

Outstanding in the girl's was 17-year-old Nicole Galitschitsch (who, this season, has already played in her first appearances in the European Champions League for SVS STRÖCK), with 3 gold medals (team, girls doubles, and mixed doubles), and 1 silver in the singles competition.

 

The Viennese Caroline Mischek (bronze in the singles, bronze in the doubles, and bronze in the team) and  SVS-Ströck junior players Valerie Tischler (silver in the team and bronze in the doubles) and Jessica Zlatilova (silver in the team and bronze in the doubles) produced excellent results.

 

In the boys, Stefan Leitgeb of Schwechat (Tirol) won the gold in singles and doubles as the most outstanding player.  His school mate Simon Pfeffer (Stockerau) won silver in singles and gold in doubles with Leitgeb and a gold in mixed doubles with Galitschitsch.

 

Florian Hofmann (SVS Niederösterreich) and Andreas Levenko (both still of school age) brought together a double bronze.
