Mission: CL semi-final completed

08.12.2014

WSA partner club SVNÖ Ströck has sensationally reached the Champions League semi-final with the last chance.

Beating the favourite team Zamek Tarnobrzeg (Poland) with 3:2 the SVNÖ Ströck players Tetyana Bilenko (3:0 against Partyka), Dora Madarasz (3:2 against Strbikova) and Matilda Ekholm – who has won against the Polish world class defender Li Qian for the first time in her career (3:2) – could reach the Champions League semi-final at the last second.

And there are some reasons which make this success so sensational:

The team was rejuvenated after the last season. The starlets Dora Madarasz (21), Lea Rakovac (18) and Tamolwan Khetkuen (17) are three players in the Ströck team with high promising talent, but they still need time to develop their full potential.

Daniela Dodean, the no. 1 in the Ströck team, has to pause the whole season because of her pregnancy.

After 4 rounds in the CL group matches the SVNÖ Ströck team could improve their performance but was still without a victory. They had to win the last matches and they did it: against Szekszard (3:0) and Tarnobrzeg (3:2) to reach the semi-final.

Now they made it! But in the semi-final the team from Linz AG Froschberg awaits them with another Chinese world class player, Li Xiaodan.

This will be another big task for the young SVNÖ Ströck team!

The first semi-final match will take place on Monday, 19th January 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Werner Schlager Academy hall.
