1st title for SVS STRÖCK

15.04.2011

About seven months after establishing WSA partner club SVS STRÖCK won its first major title (and besides, it is an international one).

In the two final games on cross-border Super League against defending champion Linz AG Froschberg SVS STRÖCK celebrated two impressive victories.

In the first leg at the WSA in Schwechat, Daniela Dodean - who insisted on playing the finals despite her knee injury -, Huang Yi Hua and Austria's singles and mixed doubles champion Li Qiangbing gained a  6:1 win.

The return match in Linz SVS STRÖCK won with 6:2.

Already in ETTU Cup of Champions (quarter finals) the WSA partner club was Austria’s best representative.

The entire team, which cannot be imagined without Jiang Xue, Valentina Popova, Judit Herczig, head coach Liu Yan Jun, WSA-head coach Dirk Wagner, physiotherapist Barbara Halper and office assistant Sylvia Neuhauser, deserves praise for the first major success in the club's history.

Next season SVS STRÖCK aims to take part in the Champions League.
